An architect graduated from the Universidade T\u00e9cnica at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon in 1993, Miguel Lopes began his professional career while still pursuing his degree, working at the studio of architect Jo\u00e3o Paci\u00eancia, where he participated in various projects and competitions as part of multidisciplinary teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He collaborated at the Frederico Valsassina studio for 26 years, from 1997 to 2023, where he participated in and developed projects, coordinating teams through processes of varying complexities, from architectural competitions to the development of different project phases and overseeing construction until final completion. Versatile in the areas of projects and construction across a wide range of sectors, including sports facilities, commercial projects, service buildings, residential buildings and complexes, and hospitality projects, some of the highlights include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Olympic Pool Complex for the University Stadium of Lisbon and Olympic Pool Complex for the 10th African Games in Maputo, the EUL Tennis Center, and the most recent Surf Park in \u00d3bidos. In commercial complexes, the various expansions of Braga Parque Shopping Center; Assisted Living Residences for the Mello Group in Parede, Junqueira, Parque das Na\u00e7\u00f5es, and Oeiras for the ACP;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Residential buildings with numerous national and international developers and investors, such as buildings at Pra\u00e7a de Espanha, the “Lote 3” residential complex at Belas Clube de Campo, Casal de Santa Luzia in Estef\u00e2nia, Villa Infante on Av. He believes that technology is essentially a tool to assist the entire creative process, and that all projects are excellent challenges for exploring form and function in search of a coherent and integrated result, always with an associated aesthetic concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A competitive sailor from the age of 13 to 30, with a Coastal Skipper license and a sailing instructor for recreational navigation courses for three years, he has always stood out for his rigor and professionalism, overcoming difficulties with persistence and hard work. He remains closely connected to the sea and various nautical activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
