Carina Seelig Barreto is an architect specialized in architecture and interior design, with a professional journey marked by timeless projects and a refined aesthetic vision. Originally from Brazil, where she studied and began her professional career, she moved to Portugal in 1990, where she established herself as a partner at the Intertraço studio, developing skills in designing spaces that combine functionality and aesthetic beauty.

In 2006, she founded the Base Geométrica studio in partnership with her husband, Norberto Barreto, also an architect, creating a synergy between idea generation and project execution. Base Geométrica is dedicated to a wide range of projects, from offices and residential buildings to developments in the tourism and service sectors.

Her focus on architecture, rehabilitation, and interior design stands out for her ability to transform old spaces into modern, welcoming environments, always respecting the essence and history of the places, imbuing them with timelessness. Additionally, she creates environments that reflect her clients’ personalities and needs, utilizing high-quality materials and innovative solutions to spatial challenges.
