Filipa T.
Education and Career Path
Shaped between Lisbon, ISCTE, her former partnership at Atelier 106, and her work at the interior design studio L’Éléphant, Filipa has built a career molded by the relationships that connect her to each new challenge.
Professional Experience
Filipa is a multidisciplinary architect and designer, founder of her own architecture studio — Filipa Taborda – Architecture and Design — established in 2022.
Previously, she co-led Atelier 106 and later joined the interior design studio L’Éléphant, where she developed a range of renovation and new construction projects, covering residential programs, public buildings, and shared spaces.
In product design, she collaborated with the furniture brand Heme Furniture, for which she created her first collection.
She also founded Maison Bloom, a company dedicated to floral design, event design, art direction, and interiors, where she creates unique pieces and manages the graphic and communication aspects.
Philosophy and Approach
From architectural thinking to the design of every detail, Filipa embarks on a journey that moves through forms, textures, atmospheres, and light until the space takes shape.
Exploring the dialogue between positive and negative forms, she finds her ultimate vision in people — in how their presence influences and is influenced by the surrounding settings, linking each moment to the details: texture to color, light to shadow, emptiness to fullness — to create a dialogue that shapes visual realities between mass and void.
A home, new or renewed. An office, a restaurant, or a place for sharing memories of the future. Filipa creates a form for you — one that becomes your own, inside and out.
Pleasures and Passions
Beyond architecture, writing is another of her passions. Filipa has written poetry and essays on architecture and design, having published the poetry collection Uma sombra a dançar (“A Dancing Shadow”) and contributed to the online magazine Rua de Baixo.
As both an architect and designer, Filipa brings to her writing a strong visual and spatial sensibility.
